Non-Endowed Scholarship Awards 2023 – 2024 Academic Year

Bill Dodge Auto Group Award ($6,000) – Bill Dodge Auto Group, a  Maine based family owned business, provided the funding for this award.  Six $1,000 awards will be disbursed. The Company operates new and pre-owned vehicle dealerships in Brunswick, Westbrook and Saco. This award is based on student financial need, after which the recipients are requested to be graduates of Brunswick High School.

Dr. Louis & Anne J. Bachrach Memorial Award ($500) – Members of Dr. Bachrach’s family provided the funding for this award, which is based solely on student financial need.

Town of Bowdoin Award ($1,500) – The Town of Bowdoin provided funding for two $750 scholarship awards. The awards are based on student financial need, after which recipients are requested to be one male and one female Town of Bowdoin resident.

William Christopher “Chris” Turner Memorial Award ($1,200) – Friends and family of Chris Turner, along with BASAF Board Designated Annual Fund distributions, provide the funding for this award.  Chris Turner was an Information Technology professional who believed technology was a tool to connect and inform people. He also believed in the Brunswick community and gave back to it through his many years of service to area non-profit organizations, including as a Board Member for BASAF. He wanted others to feel the love and support that filled his life. This award is based on student financial need, after which the recipients are requested to be graduates of Brunswick High School.
